Suzi Clark - Walberton

Suzanne Clark – Chairman. 

Suzi moved to Walberton in 1990 and was a partner in her business, working as an international events and meeting planner and travelling extensively throughout the world. She lives near the pond with her partner Mike, who took up woodworking on his retirement, and Border terrier Benson.  

She has been on the Parish Council since 2010 and is chairman of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.

Suzi still enjoys travelling but whilst at home enjoys the garden, loves cooking, eating out, good wines and plays in the local crib league.                                                                                                  suzanneclark@btinernet.com

 
   
Richard Strickland

Richard Strickland – Vice Chairman and Chair of Finance

Richard has lived with his wife, Jean, in Walberton since 2006, having previously lived in Malta, Canada, Brazil, Croatia, London, Brighton & France.  A varied career included journalism, airline management and consulting.  Latterly, he ran his own businesses: in turn a wine importer-wholesalers in East Sussex then a residential language school near Cognac that later became a guest house-gites complex with a wine ancillary. 

Since returning to the UK, Richard worked for 9 years part-time as a TEFL host-tutor but has now decided to devote more time to local issues.  He’s interested in almost everything from food & wine to sports and a dozen grandchildren; while golf is his principal pastime.                                                            rs-wpc@strickland.co.uk

Edmund Camera Cuss

Edmund Camerer Cuss – Chair of Planning

Edmund is now almost completely retired from writing commercial property research and consultancy work. He has lived in West Sussex for over 30 years, moving to Fontwell itself in 2009.

He and his wife Mary have six children between them who still manage to be pleasurable burdens, along with five grandchildren. Mary does the flowers at St Mary the Virgin in Barnham, they both are regulars at Chichester Theatre, and enjoy pub grub, while Edmund’s lifelong recreation has been competitive sailing. He joined the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group & the Parish Council in 2015.                               edmundcc@btinternet.com

Bob Walberton

Robert Rogers

Bob is a  retired company director and has lived in Walberton since 1992. He graduated in Business from Brighton University in 1979 and had a career with a small number of SMEs within the Publishing and Book distribution industry. Bob now keeps occupied with two part time positions in the Charity and Property Services sectors.

Married to Dianne, who is a teacher at the Bishop Luffa School, they have three ‘grown up’ sons and 3 grandchildren. Bob is a qualified Cricket umpire, a spectator member of Worthing RFC and a BHA season ticket holder . He is a member of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and the treasurer of Walberton Allotments association.

Angela English

Angela English

Angela is a graphic designer who owns her own local design agency. She has lived and worked in Hong Kong for many years, and has been an art director for several top marketing design agencies. 

She has lived locally since she was 11 and moved with her family to Walberton in 2008 and has an energetic young son.

When not working, she spends most of her time gardening, trout fishing, playing tennis and walking her 2 golden retrievers around the surrounding area

 
Richard Moores

RICHARD MOORES

 

Richard has been fortunate enough to have worked in Walberton village since acquiring the Sims Williams business back in 1999.  In that time he has helped many people move into the villages. Despite not living in Walberton, Richard feels like a local and has been treated as such by those lucky enough to live here.  With a career in estate agency ever since leaving school, Richards’s passion and enthusiasm for property has not waned at all.

Away from Walberton, Richard lives in Worthing with his two sons and enjoys spending time with them, as well as travelling, cooking and eating out.                                                                richard.moores@simswilliams.co.uk

Marc Mitchell

MARC MITCHELL

Marc, 50 in 2017, has lived in Walberton with his wife, Claire, for 5 years, having previously been in Chichester for 10 years. 

He first came to the South Coast from the Midlands in the mid 80's to study Mathematical Physics at Portsmouth University. He has worked for 25 years in Sales and Marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry. the last 20 years with Johnson & Johnson where he launches new and innovative medical treatments into the NHS.

Marc has many hobbies and interests, including golf, tennis, motor cars, he struggles with the guitar and saxophone, has recently joined the RSPB and enjoys watching and being around wildlife. Claire Lewis

Claire Lewis

Claire moved from London and has lived in Walberton since 2013 with her husband, two children and her dog. Claire went to Manchester University and studied Geography & Archaeology but her love of planes and travel led her into aviation where she has worked for 20 years. Claire enjoys travelling the world and meeting interesting people but her favourite place is home and she is passionate about protecting the community and environment of the villages.

Andy Peppler

 

Andy Peppler - Parish Clerk   and the only employee of the Parish Council.

 

Andy has lived with his wife Gene in the Six Villages area for over 30 years. He joined Sussex Police following a gap year travelling, where he worked for 31 years, retiring as an inspector in 2006. He then worked as a civian investigation team supervisor unitl retiring January 2017. His grown up chidren live in Western Australia and Yapton.
